On Borneo's coast lies the vast Kinabatangan-Segama Wetlands. At over 50 000 hectares it's one of the largest and most pristine coastal ecosystems in South East Asia. On the front lines of this battle ground, proboscis monkeys squabble for control over harems, Oriental short clawed otters scour the river for fish, and pint sized predators hatch from crocodile nests. Forming a rich nursery for both freshwater and marine species this final habitat of the Kinabatangan is perhaps its most productive.
