The winter snow has turned into torrential rain, bringing a flood of farms calls to Pol Veterinary Services. The vets, farmers, and animals alike are growing weary of the deluge of rain-related problems and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. And as the waters continue to rise around the clinic, so do emotions when a family is faced with a heartbreaking decision about their beloved dog. In the pouring rain, Dr. Pol rushes out to Pohl Dairy to check on a normally docile dairy cow that is acting out of its mind. Could the incessant rain be affecting this cow as well? Meanwhile, Dr. Brenda races out in the rain on an emergency call to Myers Dairy Farm where a cow has stopped producing milk entirely and is rife with infection. Dr. Brenda must work quickly to get water into the cow; otherwise this cow runs the risk of dehydrating to death. With the endless rain and countless farm calls everyone seems to be reaching their breaking point, so Charles comes up with an unlikely plan to help his parents have a little fun and help raise their spirits.
