It's birthing season in Michigan, and between the emergency calving cases and a potential pneumonia epidemic among piglets, Dr. Pol and his clinic staff have their hands full. Charles is hoping to impress the staff by training his pup, Athena, how to behave. But it's not just Athena learning new tricks, Charles may need a lesson in puppy training before he can make real progress with his pup. With so many births, Dr. Pol and Charles are on the run. The first farm call is an emergency calving with a twist - Dr. Pol and Charles must catch the heifer first before they can help her give birth. As the chase commences, they quickly learn this heifers got plans of her own. An urgent call comes into the clinic that sends Dr. Brenda racing out to care for some very sick piglets. When she arrives, she discovers these piglets were purchased from another farm as 4-H projects for children. Will Dr. Brenda be able locate and treat the source of the sickness before it spreads further? In between farm calls, Charles struggles to train his puppy Athena. Commands as simple as sit, stay, and come turn into a show down and has Charles calling out to veterinarian technician, Andrea, for some much needed puppy training advice.
